A couple of weeks ago we attended our second cooking class at Le Gourmet Factory, located in Englewood, NJ. The class we took was a French cuisine class and this class was a whole lot of fun. If you guys are looking for a fun, interactive cooking class/date – sign up for one of these classes – you’ll learn how to cook and prep some yummy stuff plus mingle with other cool couples.
Here is what we learned to cook:
– Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tartlets
– Moules Mariniere
The Chef was very hands on and had us help with the prepping, toasting of our own croque-monsieurs in butter, stirring, and chopping the veggies we needed for garnish etc. This made all of us in the class feel included and more comfty. My husband and I really enjoyed that at the very end of the class, we all got to eat what we learned to prepare. We sat at a beautiful long dining table – lit up with candles and set up with modern place settings – and next to couples whom we had just met at the beginning of the class.
It was a really nice experience, a bit out of our comfort-zone at first- but about 5 minutes in… we were all mingling and getting to know one another. We can’t wait to go back and perhaps learn to make some yummy Italian dishes next time.
